Me, myself & I

Born in Dover, Delaware where his father was stationed in the Air Force. The family packed up 2 weeks after his birth to drive to their family home across country to Manhattan Beach, California where he was raised. For a high school graduation present, he received his first 35mm - a Nikon FM2 with a 50mm lens. Oooh, black & white! He now shoots all Canon but will on occasion dust off the old Nikon for a shoot. It's not unusual to see him using a Holga toy camera or some older Kodak cameras that he has "borrowed" from his father.

In his early 20's when he could no longer afford to pay for his tuition at Otis Parsons Design, he started modeling in L.A. This led to traveling around the world for work and he got to watch some of the best photographers do their magic. In his off time he would shoot head shots for his model and actor friends. Always carrying around a plastic pocket camera wherever he went, trying to capture the scenics and mayhem around him.

On his 30th birthday he flew from Tokyo back home to Southern California - actually celebrating his birthday twice in one day because of the time difference. Around this milestone is when he decided to take some computer courses at UCLA to hone his design and art skills. Working as an art director in the Surf, Action Sports and Automotive industries for 12 years; a few of the publications he worked on were Volleyball Magazine, Surfing Magazine, Truckin' Magazine, Cat & Dog Fancy (yep) and lastly at Billabong, USA in Irvine, California as a retail graphic designer.

Kevin and his wife Angela grew tired of the hustle and bustle of L.A./Orange County and decided 10 years ago to rent out their home in San Clemente and head over to the beautiful Big Island of Hawaii to see what life had to offer. They live in the Kohala area with their dog Pizza, fish and two geckos, Rocket and Jr. Their son Nic lives in NYC writing and following his dream.
